I have two 27-inch monitor with 2560x1440er resolution, and the card comes in all major games super so clear - could all play smoothly at full resolution (even Star Citizen!) The 3D output in full HD worked out great! So you look only at price-performance, so there is in my view no better graphics card than this. Why this card gave 2 stars, and in the end the card was returned, lies in the volume. I have had the GTX 460 and GTX660, and both were inaudible. However, this card whimpers in an incredible volume. It does not come from the fans, but from the coils on the board - and the brazen is that the manufacturer claims "this is normal" !!! Who wants to hear more, should enter at YouTube "GTX 970 Coil Whine" - there are several videos and reports on the issue. The buzzing noise is not the same throughout, so that one could get used to it ... in 2D mode, ie on Desktop hear nothing. In 3D applications, it is important how demanding they are. With minimal claim comes a shrill, high-pitched tone. The more sophisticated the 3D application, the more and louder is this sound. Since the FPS in 3D games ever varriert (with me from 70 to 120 fps) varies this buzzing constantly and makes every game inedible.
Fortunately, the dealer did not agree with the producers and took the card back without hesitation, since he also held the squeak for too loud. (This time it was not Amazon) The replacement was a MSI GTX970 - Although the whimpers as well, but much quieter and constant - even disturbing, but you can get used to it ...
However, buying a ZOTAC GTX 970 I can only recommend people who do not care for volume.
