Finally again - a strong new album of Roland Kaiser!

To come forward to take away:
I did not think that it will eventually again be such a great new album of Roland Kaiser !!!
Therefore, now once a buy recommendation! The Kaiser fans will not be disappointed!
The album seemed altogether very harmonious.

My opinion about the songs:

Track 1 "Very long ago":
Comes with its guitar intro bit oldstyle / country standard therefore. I find, therefore, not so suitable as opener for a modern pop album. On the whole, the song is ok. Here - and also in some other title of the new album - I'm going to feel but not quite going that the singer at very low passages has problems. Sometimes sounds also as if something was pitched much.

Track 2 "It all started here in 2007"

I like it super useful when older songs are recorded with a new package! Unlike the album of 2004 ("Best of") is heard here also that an older title (this is in 1985) was actually newly sung. Not bad! What I do not like here, this blaster heavy intro and otherwise the many wind instruments in the arrangement - is reminiscent of any of these boring interludes from a Udo Jürgens Album 80s ...
However great the Arrangement:
the POPable, rattling synth organ in the verses and the wandering in Panorama arpeggios, for example, after the text passage "Hey Jew".

Track 3, "What do you know about love"
Wooow! From Arrangement certainly one of the most advanced imperial songs and for me one of the best songs already from him at all !! The song comes from the very beginning from good.
Horny synth pads, horny choirs, arpeggios and especially a bass drum as they would be other good songs too. The verses I like even better than the chorus! Note 1.

Track 4 "There was once a dreamer"
Solider song, which invites with its melody to dream also. However, the chorus is sung to me a little too pathetic.

Track 5 "I'm still crazy about you"
Good, beautiful and melodic pop songs. Kaiser typical. Note. 2

Track 6 "My ex is free again"
Interesting arrangement with South American flair. No typical Kaiser song! Most comparable with "Round Robin" (from the album "The Starter Wife"). Note. 2

Track 7 "Sexy you were always"
A Song of myself (especially as a single) musically and lyrically not convinced, nor the hook "So are you." This whistling, continuous synth sequence in the chorus would have anyway to rausnhemen, the guitars are too soft for me.
After all, the song fits well in the whole album.

Track 8 "Everyone is silent as best he can"
Grade 1 or better! For each emperor Fan probably an absolute highlight! Soulful and catchy, just super. Best of all, as the end of the title (-> 2min50s) is placed the gesungende arrangement one above the other. Something like, such as the ancient title "Not reachable close" (1987 album "Towards thee").
So please, please: More titles by Andreas Ralf! Who already in 2004, "You" and "You're still here" for Kaiser 2 strong titles delivered.

Track 9 "Summer in your arms"
Kaiser goes folk music and Schunkel Mania ... No thanks, worse as it gets.
If even a cover, then please as to the "Limitless" times (album "Unlimited" 1996). Note. 6

Track 10 "Do you remember me"
Nice and different. Score 1-2. Bring a little something cool mood as some songs of "The Starter Wife" album (2001).

Track 11 "So much love holds no one in"
This song holds out no, really bad ... Slow, unbearable refrain melody. Keyboard lines as in folk music. Note beyond. 6

Track 12 "The Song of Giblinge"
It's understandable that you also want to promote his other projects!
But then rather with a note in the booklet, as with a song that the flow of the album interfere.

13 "What do you know about love - original mix"
Not much different from the radio mix of that song (Track 3). The difference lies in the arrangement. I like the radio mix with its gaudy drums but better than the guitars of this version. Anyway, the song is strong and counterintuitive.

Conclusion: Because of the songs 3, 5, 8 and 10, this album is more than worth the money and is after a long time a strong album of Roland Kaiser. Very good I also like how to play with long delays and the voices. Sometimes the singer's voice can not convince as before, however.

And pity that the present day as little CD's are sold! - Then you would have to not wait so long again on a new album ...
