Boucan hell (CD)

Customer Review

We were beginning to despair, but Renaud is finally back, this time with a terribly autobiographical album, account of some dark years that have just elapsed (divorce, alcoholism). At 50, Renaud finally starting to head out of the bottle and this album alone is victory by Renaud on Fox. Certainly, from a musical point of view, Renaud has not regained its former inspiration (but perhaps it wanted to put the text in the foreground), but in the texts, except that this time he has not eaten priest, Renaud is always so ironic, and suffering becomes the poet: "We recognize happiness to sound it makes when it goes" (It makes a ... hellish racket). Do not miss such a splendid duet with Axelle Red, likely next single, and "Corsic'armes". For the record, "Baltic" was the dog of "Tonton"
Renaud with this disc seems to start on the right foot ...
