The Bresser third hand (I am referring to the Amazon Prime href = "; camp = 1638 & creative = 19454 & creativeASIN = B004QIDD9C & Linkcode = as2 & tag = link0cd-21) is finally a useful product!
The two alligator clips attached to rather long flexible arms.
Add to that a little light and a magnifying glass on the third arm.
Very suitable for soldering / desoldering boards and often a real help.
But what you need to consider: The two side arms must be screwed into a plastic holder that holds course from the start no load status.
The solution is simple and permanently useful: A drop of super glue to the thread and it holds bombproof.
As a professional solution a thread sealing adhesive can be used, then it is released again.
For example, or something like that of Amazon Prime to about 10 euros:; camp = 1638 & creative = 19454 & creativeASIN = B00295CU0M & Linkcode = as2 & tag = link0cd-21
The terminal does not hold, of course, unlimited expense but for all normal soldering was the holding pressure sufficiently for me, the light of the magnifying glass is not particularly bright but it was a great help when working on SMD ICs.
