About the cutting performance with sausage / cheese / ham etc. I can pass no experience, but as crusty bread is cut from the wood oven problems, there should be no serious restrictions on soft foods.
Actually, it is a left-handed machine. But precisely then we were looking for when buying a new, although we are not left-handed. Our predecessor was well built, because I find it more enjoyable, with the right hand or the right Daumem to press the power button and push the left the cut material (eg bread).
The machine works and is very stable, which hold four suction cups on the underside of the unit without additional handles securely in place. The noise level during cutting is moderate, almost pleasant.
A few small flaw: the device has no safety switch for the unauthorized use by children. In addition, the cord storage on the underside is somewhat fummlig and stiff. The cable is therefore rarely wound with us, in which case care must be taken so that it does not come into contact with the very sharp knife.
Assumed service life: 20 years. Our last machine was a Krups, which held just as long.
