First impression 12

I have a little more than 2-3 minutes engaged with the lens.
It has struck me that you can use the bezel only for setting the depth of field. (Sharper than sharp now no times)
used camera Fuji X-T1 and X-Pro1. I have not yet seen data RAF and went from the JPG from. Setting everything to 0.
I've worked all selected focal lengths and aperture to F16 through. When F2.8 at all focal lengths from the center to the corners have dissolved in both cameras up to the pixel. This lens is designed for much higher resolution sensors.
I am the Canon EF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS II and used but expected Fuji surpasses it in this field and bokeh quality.
So says my monitor and my belly. For contrast and color I can not say much because that requires longer testing.
But the cat skin test (semi-long with undercoat for all lenses a challenge par excellence) has it very well I passed would sometimes say a tad better than the Canon.
The aperture ring is properly secured, the like it very much. The zoom is running fine and effortlessly.

Oh hums the lens / mumbles a little to himself. In fact, you can hear it in very quiet environments.
I have no problem with that I would take to any event with it.
Even a whisper or mimes "concert".
A Canon USM lens makes when focusing far more "noise".
So at least the EF 28-70 f2.8 L, ES 70-200 F2.8 L IS II, ES Macro 100 F2.8 L IS.
In addition, if you move a 70-200 F2.8 L IS II with IS-ON it hisses dan already.
Not so the Fuji.
The Fuji lens is buzzing even if the camera is in standby mode.
Focusing is quiet and silent and fast compared to all fixed focal length lenses from Fuji.
The X-Pro1 is slightly slower than the T-X1 and has difficulty in the dark, that's because the the center focus point can not light up the LED. But the problem is not really the best then also helps the OIS not as dark.

Conclusion:
- Focus at maximum aperture at all focal lengths.
- Quiet enough for even the most demanding environments such as weddings, press release, classical concerts etc ...
