Quick Reference Guide (multilingual; the German translation is very funny but understandable with a little imagination)
Unpacking:
The cardboard packaging is visually well designed and the parts can be easily unpack. There are no tools such as scissors or knife needed.
First impression and processing:
The Mini-Router is really tiny. It measures just 50x55x18mm (LxWxH). There are 2 LEDs on the top. A indicates the current state of the wireless router and the other whether an Internet connection. A Micro-USB port located on the left side (to power) a network connection (for the router mode) and n ei small switch with which you can switch between wireless repeater and wireless router mode. Is still at the front, a reset button, which is sunk into the housing and can be operated with a paper clip or the like, and a USB host port to which you can connect USB memory as a NAS drive. The included manual clearly shows how to take the router quick and easy in operation.
Startup / initial installation:
Once you supplied the router via the micro USB socket with power (this is the way, even with a small Power Bank) will start the router and is ready for immediate use. It connects to the bottom on the printed WLAN and opens a browser window. Then you navigated to on the bottom specified IP address and can start with the personal configuration. The web interface is clearly designed and simple and should therefore be for a layman easy to use.
Possible fields of application:
- Wireless router
o If only one cable network is available you can make a trip to the HooToo Matenano quickly and easily be its own wireless network, and thus connect all their devices (laptop, smartphone, tablet, etc.).
o If no network exists and you quickly a needed (eg file sharing, LAN party, etc.) you can just the trip Matenano via USB with a PC, laptop, USB charger or the like to connect and immediately his own WLAN network.
