My demands on the macro were therefore not as high, but Sony has surprised me with the lens.
The relatively lousy edge sharpness at the Nex7 at open aperture I do not use to the devaluation of the lens, as it does not interfere with the actual use of flowers macros for me.
If you want to also use it as a standard prime lens, then you should stop down to at least 5.6 or 8 in order to achieve good results.
My Pro's and Con's:
++ Feel and build quality
++ Full interior focused (length remains constant)
++ Dimmed color reproduction
Dimmed ++ Focus
Dimmed + vignetting
+ Reasonable price right
o Figure 1: 1 scale only in extreme proximity of the subject
o bulky for a macro short focal length
- Feather at maximum aperture
- Vignetting at open aperture to 5.6
All in all a great value for money tip.
Vielleich Sony still has a slightly longer (60-70mm) macro on the roadmap. :-)
