So - the first two books are read by the device. Now come true, whether the purchase was a good grip:
YES!
The only candidate who came into question after some Rechere the eBook reader market was the Amazon Kindle and the Sony Reader (Version Nov. 2010). Both have the latest E-Ink dispays with the highest contrast. But then the differences begin. To sum up, here is what the Sony PRS-650 has been the decisive factor for me:
1. The reader is "open": All major eBook formats.
2. The Sony Reader is expandable with Memory Stick and SD cards.
3. There is a touch device.
4. It is more compact than the Kindle with the same display size.
What he has not compared - but is also not necessary in my case:
- No WiFi, no UMTS -> it must be equipped with a PC via USB or the memory card
- No Internet
- That's it ...
Actually, for me, in effect, the touchscreen, the "killer argument" against the Kindle was: I like to read English books. Of course - and especially in the classics - get there again before vocabulary whose meaning I do not know or only vaguely. A dictionary in addition to the just-read book to have this interrupts the flow of reading drastically. With a keyboard to enter the word or the back screen and navigate. When Sony I need the word is tapped and already I have in the lower half of the screen is - just super!
The touch screen supports pen and touch. A pin is "integrated" in the Reader.
Of course, the screen is non-reflective and it applies: The more ambient light, the better!
I have used for comparison, an iPad and a notebook (Tablet) to read:
This is no comparison! There are as though all the books illustrated - but it always involves only one's face or an image of the space or the window in which it is located, and unfortunately the "Layout" is then so that changing the text no longer reasonable can read. Shortly these are mirrors, but no read devices.
I'll get my books from the Internet (for example, Project Gutenberg) and synchronic kidney on the PC with Calibre. Of course, supporting the reader also "Buy books" with DRM (Adobe).
I can see the reader just recommended!
