I must confess that I MIW was unheard of, until I then on a heavy metal radio station heard the end of September in Canada the theme song. The track was played there several times a day and was after a short time - to the chagrin of my wife, who prefers "easy verdaulichere" music - one of my favorite songs. After returning from vacation, I was so curious that I have all three CD's of MIW ordered in one fell swoop "blind", as the EP "When Love Met Destruction". Granted it was quite brave, not even a listen testweise on youtube in the individual songs. After I heard down all CD's high and, of course, I understand why fans of the first hour will probably be only partly excited. Reincarnate sounds not at all like the operations albums. And as for me, I think that's fine. Without going to want to push someone over the head, but the first CD's of MIW lined up for me - unfortunately - to a large extent in the "Durchschnittsbrei" many metalcore bands a. Only in a few places for me are "outliers" present upward. Lest anyone get me wrong: bad I find the CD's not, but just not better than average. "Solid" it hits might have worked. Reincarnate includes about Metalcore addition so many other elements and genres that I would not really associate the CD Metalcore. There are strong bonds of Marilyn Manson, in other places you can hear me clearly Depeche fashion and The Cure influences. For me "Reincarnate" one of the best CD's of the year. In addition to the theme song I think first of all recommended the following songs: Unstoppable, Contemptress (with Maria Brink - funnily enough the studio drummer is incidentally also the drummer of In This Moment, therefore fits collaboration with Maria Brink), Break the Cycle, Wasp (very quiet and interesting track - just great) and naturally the bouncers Carry The Torch (probably the only "real" Metalcore Track). More please ...
