That is why we want to try this model from Tomy. We are mostly satisfied. It does not make all that makes the Digital TD300, but we do not worry that it could easily break.
The disadvantages here are:
* The parent unit volume light signal is not so helpful in noisy environments, such as at a wedding or at friends in the party cellar.
* If the parent unit has no reception or is out of range of the baby unit, then it begins to beep. This is annoying and can not be silenced.
* The range is 50m shorter than the Digital TD300.
The Advantages:
* With the sound we had no problem. We even hear the breathing of our child.
* To transport we no longer worry. Everything is chucked into the pocket. The baby unit is not as fragile as the Digital TD300.
Conclusion: If you want to have a baby monitor that does what it should and is easy to carry, then this baby monitor is a good choice.
