This book is visually very neat. Luxury Edition. Glossy paper, spiral binding the best effect. The musical notations are however small. So not easily readable. I would not recommend this method for a beginner. I think the key for him is motivation. It is powered by the "feeling", by satisfaction. Here is shown a litany of examples in all directions. Most are not really easy listening CD and confirm that they are not especially motivating. Here sounds "not living" is not the exercise of the music. Almost all of the examples are played with a folk guitar and out of context. Some musical quotations (eg "this is the riff of stones" are downright next). Inevitably advanced guitarist will not find their account either. Making music is also open to other instruments. For example, here we did a chapter on jazz guitar but there is no bass, sax, piano. Rock but there is a folk guitar. And so on.
