The Year of Magical Thinking (Paperback)

Customer Review

[Read in English.] Having found this very interesting book, I now understand why it was so popular. Joan Didion recounts with great openness the deep pain she felt after the death of her husband, died of a heart attack.

In addition, during her year of mourning, she should worry about her adopted daughter, who spends long weeks in hospital, a situation that only worsens sadness. Didion well be rich and free to travel wherever she wants, she is not happier either.

Like many people who have read it, I would recommend this story to anyone who has lost a loved one, because it will find a soul mate who has gone through similar ordeals.
