Since AC II I played all the parts on the PS3 and am a big fan of this series. In this respect, the wait for a working version was really hard;)
For the better:
+ The 4th patch (.! With approximately 6.5 GB) resolves finally said of many other errors; apart from minor graphics errors and a single crash during the entire campaign there were no problems (the unstable online connection I leave here on the sidelines, see negative points)
+ The control has never been the strength of the AC series, but was better with every part. So also with Unity. Particularly positive noticed that you now no longer so easy to jump accidentally too deep = plunges into death, but at too great a height of fall in estimated 95% of cases can not jump
+ Great graphics, especially the lighting effects are great and mature cinema
+ In the first two-thirds of balanced difficulty for a smooth gaming experience
+ Good story, though not quite at the same level as in AC II and the div. Offshoots
For negatives:
The biggest annoyance for me and - in addition to the release of an unfinished product - the main reason for the devaluation is an attempt by Ubisoft, withdraw the AC fans really with this game.
For this purpose it is necessary to briefly discuss the history: One of the Ubisoft marketing manager announced in advance at a press conference to try to make the previous "60-dollar customers" future "200-dollar customers" (who see the interview wants: Search the video "Ubisoft wants you to pay $ 200" to YouTube, links are mW is not allowed here, so just this notice).
What he wants to do this, unfortunately, very clearly shows AC Unity: Many features that were available in the old parts from the beginning or were earned fairly quickly at the start with little effort, you have to now only at very great expense earn (so for example. anyonym be able by sitting on a park bench, etc.). Even those who from the beginning but makes much additional missions as possible, it creates not to reach the most important skills as well as other improvements easily. I have the game through and in spite of many side missions and so not all skills and only a fraction of the possible weapons and other equipment. In the other parts of the series, I had - despite less "sideline" and focus on the pure story - even before the end of most equipment.
Make the situation worse by the fact that from about the 2nd third of the level of difficulty increases significantly and you get a problem with the regular erspielbaren items as inexperienced player (or required as AC-tested players sometimes very many attempts, making the gameplay greatly limits ). Next items are needed for doing certain side quests that you can hardly earn at least on the first pass. Also consumable items are more difficult to collect a sufficient number.
But Ubisoft has indeed a great deal: the required credits can be bought easily! The costs - depending on the amount - up to 99 Euro !!! Ubisoft is also not shy about this function during the game: In the later sequences comes before each mission to point out that this would be very difficult and you to buy the best skills ...
In a free-2-play title something completely OK as a business model. For a full price title to a RRP of no less than 70 Euro such a thing does not go though! Once there are many gamers who can be ripped off with DLC, you will thus probably the next stage of Kundenabmelkens initiate.
After all, a positive effect of completely vergeigte Start: The upcoming DLC is for all players for free!
A few minor negative points:
- Many chests can only be opened in combination with the appropriate APP; as these bring little fun, an annoying limitation (the app to AC BF was there better by a mile)
- Unreliable online functionality (eg the Initiates-chests)
- Card is very cluttered, here would have been more less!
Conclusion:
Had Ubisoft no beta version full of mistakes and released omitted the issue in-game purchases, would the game - 5 Stars earned - in spite of a few other negative points. Although the game since de 4. Patch is stable, the problems associated with the in-game payment options limitations destroy heavily the game ball. Will you feel like I do not have to rip and waived the purchase of credits, so it's just corrosive when rudimentary skills must first earn itself cumbersome. That's about as funny as yet having to buy after buying a car steering wheel, shift and brake!
Should Ubisoft further continue with the next AC this rip-off, this series is done in the future for me. Then Ubisoft has managed to make me a "0-dollar customers". ... And I am certainly not the only one who thinks so ...
