The display is brilliant!
It can be a bit darker and a bit lighter than the rules was at S3 the case. But somehow seem to me the colors to be a bit paler than the S3 (my own impression)
There is no more beautiful Handschmeichler as the S3.
The S3 I've loved with its smooth and rounded surfaces. Especially the rounded edge display. I'm not one of display films glued to a mobile. Since the S3 would have been inappropriate. When S4 is not a problem. The display is flat to the edge (bad).
Have the Value Edition in silver.
The processing of the cover do not skin off your feet. The USB connector is slightly wrinkled and the rear camera is not sitting centrally in the recess.
For the brilliant framing of S4 works better than the plastic frame in S3.
For battery.
When I brought it to S3 over 2 days duration.
When S4 I manage over 3 days. (Both in winter with low screen brightness)
I call infrequently, do not write SMS.
Use it for threema, email, eingie other apps (eg Amazon, TV, Flipboard)
The keyboard is better than the S3. The figures are now available on every page. One does not switch to the special characters.
Slightly disappointed I am by the current Android 4.4.2 (For Samsung can but nothing)
Apps like Llama can no longer activate the flight mode because google prohibiting now. This has so frustrated me that I even wanted to S4 rooten!
Unfortunately, I can not have been possible with the current firmware (Oct 2014). The last Samsung Patch has concluded several vulnerabilities in the kernel.

Also Apps can no longer now as before write to the SD card. Only reading. Annoying if you want to create an encrypted Dateikontainer with EDS.
