We know that for some years now, Joe has decided to focus its guitar prowess to more melodies by working more on the sounds via pedals and other multi-effects. "Is There Love in Space?" So this logic of continuity, or sterile demonstration is excluded. Boasting an outstanding production, I must also admit that this album fishing places by a real lack of inspiration. So when some songs are not the appearance of a "déjà vu", others as "The Souls of Distortion" or "Just Look Up" prove them downright boring. Fortunately! Satriani knows, detours 2 sung songs, a play by 10 minutes Blues accents, a "Bamboo" very ambient, and its title song (you pull tears), we do listen up ( and not only).
You'll understand that the quality is still the rendezvous, with all time a few failures and missteps that do not call into question the talent of a still very endearing guitarist. 14/20
