The time savings is dramatic compared to manual coring. Better to keep the cherries in one hand and release them one by one that avoids they "get stuck". Stoning is not perfect: a dozen cherries per kilo escapes it. Nevertheless when you have to pit several kilos I think we'll 3 to 4 times faster with this device manually. For a pie that may not be worth it except for those for whom the manual coring is difficult but to jam it would be a shame to pass.
