Although the whole is beyond jedlicher charts and current musical trends - what's a good thing. It caused great songs, the look fresh and lively on the listener and you feel directly the fun of the musicians when playing this long groove.
A truly illustrious crowd of guests has Bernie Marsden can win for the CD: Since plays Super guitarist Joe Bonamassa on the title track Shine with; on drums sit amongst others Ian Paice (Deep Purple) and Jimmy Copley (Jeff Beck); the Keyborads among others Don Airey (Deep Purple); "Bad Blood" is refined by the singer Cherry Lee Mewis and for the re-recording of the old Whitesnake song "Trouble" was even the frontman of the White Snake, David Coverdale available. Yes, and just this last much maligned singer shows Trouble a good figure. This kind of songs would be better suited for Coverdale, as such the actual songs by Whitesnake. But the real star of the album is still propagated Mr. Bernie Marsden, it shows all new "Frickelfingern" that you can make great guitar solos with fewer notes and more restrained technique. But that this CD is from beginning to end properly managed, it also owes the absolutely convincing power Bernie Marsden as a singer.
