I've 70-300mm 1 with the combination Nikon D70 / Nikkor AF: 4-5.6 photographed. To me it was primarily concerned to photograph our children and our horses in action. In the early years I was also very pleased with the new opportunities that I had through the Tele. Over time, however, has annoyed me in hazy weather or in winter, that the photos were not clear despite using a monopod. The autofocus was under these conditions are often not fast enough. To photograph in riding halls was quite impossible. We had planned to only buy a new camcorder, since the old DVD format requires that there are hardly any to buy. Since the new DSLRs also record video in HD, we bought a new camera and equal a new lens. By combining EOS600D and Canon EF 70-200 1: 2.8 L USM Lens I am happy. The images are clear even though I've photographed just freehand, the autofocus is in this combination significantly faster, making in burst mode a lot more frames / sec than with my old combination. It's a lot easier to catch the horses in the desired motion phase. To photograph in the riding hall is even without a tripod no longer a problem! Of course, the lens is big and heavy, but it seems unbreakable but also because of its metal casing. Very handy when you are constantly traveling with children, horses and camera. To use this equipment for snapshots in everyday life, it is too heavy, is enough for me for dererlei application but also a cheap compact camera. I am not a professional photographer, and therefore can not compensate with know-how the weaknesses of a camera / lens combination. As a user, in the field of sports and wildlife photography but I can say that this combination gives me taking pictures really easy.
