Alexandre Desplat wrote the score for a monster movie. There are actually still wonder. Have I left his previous work rather unimpressed, he does everything right here and above all fun. Incredibly gloomy leaves Despat here his skills run wild. The driving action pieces and quiet piano passages show how multifaceted Desplat here goes to work. Though lacking a truly memorable leitmotifs, but that makes the incredibly dense atmosphere this score quickly. It grabs you and no longer be a going on. Desplat shows the classical film music composites may well write driving scores. (Wink wink Herrenzimmer) The score has 20 tracks over a length of just over an hour 1er. What is a compact mixture for me. My favorites are The Wave, Back to the Ocean and Vegas Aftermath.
