Gold war for global hegemony ...

This book is quite enlightening about what actually happens behind the scenes at different levels of power in the world and it would not be surprising indeed that there was a serious concern at some point at the financial level as what was known in 2008 but worse.
As against the fact that so many countries give (sell cheap) their gold to the USA concerns me, is it just a US manipulation? and therefore in this case the leaders are weak or put under blackmail (as implied author) or is it a conscious raliement strategy in all these countries to strengthen the US compared to the Chinese threat or Russian (I lean a little more towards this). In any case the little people do not see anything coming and it'll really hurt during any transition to another monetary system ...

Brief interesting but sometimes the author (that I appreciate globally, even for his other books) is a little too sure of himself (by advancing some theories) instead of sticking to the point. True, he is knowledgeable and that its analysis is relevant but it is rather extreme and at times lack of nuance. Pierre So if you read me, keep this up, I like you but keeps feet on the ground and watch out not to nab the big head. This is not because they are right 95% of the time that does not make mistakes from time to time :-)
