Customer Review

Amanda Somerville that was underrepresented in recent years in the metal press and the associated scene can really say no. Your commitment to Avantasia, Aina, Kamelot and cooperation with ex Helloween singer Michael Kiske and the consequential album was partially but received great attention. Most also rightly.

Well, it was probably to publish at the time the first own album in the metal sector. To accomplish that forms Somerville with other musicians, including Sascha Paeth, the band Trillium. When songwriting Somerville worked with Paeth and thereby are a few numbers come out, which are anything but the proverbial safe number. The tough and varied opener "Machine Gun" already shows that Somerville wants to settle from their other recent projects and it also creates. The songs do not ignite at the first time. Are you Alloy however the chance of 4 or 5 runs, then songs like the sluggish "Coward", the rather quiet "Utter Descension" and the final ballad "Slow It Down" to develop small earwigs.

Jorn Lande is also featured on the album. "Scream It" is a successful duet between the two singers. The interplay between Somerville gentle vocals and the powerful voice of Scandinavian works great!

With Alloy, the singer is her first solo fragrance brand, in a sustainable manner.
