Reanimation (Audio CD)

Customer Review

I own the album for over 3 years. Back when I listened to it for the first time, the whole album sounded to me quite funny. At first I was of them seriously disappointed as I had imagined such a thing as a second "Hybrid Theory LP".

The thing to "reanimation" is that there only needs to listen to. The plate is made much hip-hop or metal-excessive, which could deter diehard rock fans might. Meanwhile resuscitation of my favorite albums, and not without reason - because unlike many other plates "reanimation" is only after repeated listening better. Because we know to appreciate "NTR MISSION" those little gimmicks such as "Opening" or.

That starts with the cover. Who "Hybrid Theory", knows the figure on the cover (which, incidentally, is also present on all singles of "Hybrid Theory"). On "resuscitation" of this nature is shown up "reanimated" as if you have to reconstruct it. (By the way, for the cover of Mike Shinoda was responsible)

1. Opening:

A beautiful violin intro, you would expect then something musically challenging and melancholy

2. PTS OF ATHRTY (Points Of Authority):

The track is not particularly changed from the original version, but convinces with nice bass and as already on the original album a highlight

3. EN TH END (In The End):

One of the few tracks that are significantly worse than the original. Despite many beautiful Cuts & Scratches from Cutmaster Kurt the track is not particularly successful in my eyes. Mike Shinoda raps his parts not as emotional as on "In The End" UDN also Motion Man does not seem to fit completely on the track. However, the track just for hip-hop listener is quite interesting

4.CHALI (skit.):

A short phone call (or voice mail message) in preparation for the näöchsten Track

5.FRGT10 (Forgotten):

Fürmich one of the highlights on the album. In contrast to the rather original rock the new version is on the beat of hip-hop producer Alchemist more hip-hop oriented. And the result is heard. A very nice instrumental, this nice part of Mike Shinoda and Chali2na. The only drawback in my opinion is the refrain. But overall a very good song, especially for hip-hop listeners

6. P5HNG ME AW * Y (Pushing Me Away):

Another song that sounds completely different from the original. All the background noise are not for everyone, but from Part 2, the whole is quite nice. Highly recommended this version is on the "Live In Texas" plate, but on "resuscitation" which is nothing special

7. PLC 4 MIE Haed (Place For My Head / Esaul):

Sounds similar to the original, but looks quite fresh by to have come Rapp Arts, also has a beautiful piano outro. Definitely worth listening to.

8. X-Ecutioner Style:

Scratching at its best: otherwise you can not describe this track. The music of "One Step Closer" fits very well with the work of the X-Ecutioners, in between there is a good part of Black Thought (of The Roots) heard. A more hip-hop oriented track.

9. H! VLTG3 (High Voltage):

Click here without stopping. Direct transition from the track before. In "Hybrid Theory EP 'was High Voltage still a pain, now you can listen to the track beautiful, partly thanks Evidence (of Dilated Peoples). Also, a hip-hop track on the album

10. [Riff Raff] (skit)

A short break before the big bang

11.WTH> YOU (With You):

after quiet Skit followed by the hammer - "Come On"! This one should be on a system with good bass. After that, the actual track starts. This does not deviate particularly from the original, beautifully rock excessively. The intermediate part of Aceyalon is very nice

12 NTR / MISSION (skit)

Here the last chords are replayed short of "Opening"

13: PPR: KUT (Papercut):

Another hip-hop track, which would not appeal to everyone. An easy Asian-inspired instrumental, to rap of Mike Shinoda, Rasco & Planet Asia. For HipHopper quite recommendable, otherwise rather annoying

14 RNW @ Y (Runaway):

This song was also not changed particularly over the original, only the hook sounds slightly different. New to the list is the part of Phoenix Orion, otherwise just as good as the original

15: MY DSMBR (My December):

LP has actually managed to make it sound the track yet quiet and melancholy than the original. A beautiful song, slightly contrasts with the rest of the album. Many could fall asleep while also

16. [Stef] (skit.)

Another voicemail scene in between

17. BIE MSLF (By Myself):

Another highlight of the album. Since LP has all brought out from the track. The whole thing sounds a bit more to Metal, is quite nice and is pretty loud. For me, better than the original

18. Kiur 4 TH I (Cure For The Itch):

Wiedre times a gala performance of Mr.Hahn, with whom he once wiedre shows what he's got. Many beautiful Cuts

19. 1STP KLOSR (One Step Closer):

A rather strange, and too long for my Geshcmack intro, otherwise the track sounds similar to "Hybrid Theory" ... Nice is also this "Blood Is Pouring interlude, which is also present at the live gig in Texas

20. KRWLNG (crawling):

With this song the chapter is finished "resuscitation", as it started - with a violin solo. The solo melody remains the same, only this time there is a transition to the actual song. Through this transition sounds the song as "from another world" and are somehow this "reanimation" feeling. A very nice track, just as nice as the original

Conclusion: Even though I am no friend of remix albums, this record has been able to convince me. Strong hip-hop sound shows that LP can not pigeonhole with other New-metal bands. The fans of "pure Rock" will be more disappointed by this album, since alternative ways are gone, with many underground artists. As I said, you have to listen because at first, but who did it, is found in a very good album. A beautiful plate :)
