We bought the device as a secondary device to the normal vacuum cleaner and put it only for vacuuming coarse dirt in workshop, yard, garage, car, terrace etc .. one. For suction at fine dust on carpet or hardwood compared to a normal vacuum cleaner I can therefore say nothing. The provided nozzle is however almost completely plastic and easily constructed from - can not be compared with that of our Miele household vacuum cleaner - so I'm assuming that the suction power on carpets compared to good household vacuum cleaners rather not so is the true. We initially had also been thinking about us to buy a larger device for everything. The Kärcher seller had but we discouraged and when I see how the part sometimes looks after grinding in the workshop, I am now happy to the Council. Only in the workshop, then on the white living room carpet - which does not really fit!
Otherwise, we decided also due to the great accessories for Kärcher. Each of the cross-eyed about a Nilfisk appliance or any of the other manufacturers, perhaps we should also take a look at the respective accessories catalogs. Long car nozzle, suction hose for tools - often are not already offered such simple things. The are at Kärcher Although not cheap - but you get them at least.
In relation to the negative Rezenssionen with 1 star I have however been assigned a restriction: The small Kärcher has a suction tube made of plastic with normal diameter. No problem for the above application. If the operating range of the wet-dry vacuum cleaner but should mainly lie where extremely coarse dirt is sucked - as at a construction site - I'd look for a device with a larger pipe diameter and possibly a metal pipe.
