- The water tank was shaky: This I can not confirm that. He is just not locked, but simply put, then sitting but tired on the seal. The seal itself makes a high quality impression. Sometimes it's dripping something into the pot when the full tank is placed, but what is likely to be due to residual water in the line and so is also present in some other machine now and then.
- The water spout dripping after: Right, but that can easily be avoided or greatly reduced if you can stand the jug shortly after the end of the brewing process still on the disk (about 1 minute). Then also the filter is completely run dry and it comes almost entirely from dripping.
- The machine as a whole is unstable: a machine that is not built as a solid block, but as a bridge with separate water tank, may not have the same stability, is clear. The machine twists a little, if you do not receive equally and must be placed on a truly flat surface to stand safely (which anyway is recommended). Nevertheless, the machine is well made and you have not the impression that they fall apart the same.
- The pot dripping strong: Yes, the pot drips, no question. She does sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on how they are kept when you pour the coffee. But honestly: Is it absolutely drip pot really? I have had over the years been very many cans of different manufacturers in the hand and the question was never, drips or not, but just how much. More importantly for me, the workmanship and stability, and because I am very satisfied. The handle is firmly attached, the cover fits snugly on without rattling or to open of itself, and the material of the handle and cover makes a high impression.
- The smell: Yes, which is initially actually very strong. I have flushed the machine with five full water tanks, then the smell was gone.
- The filter element is difficult to see: I can not confirm. The filter insert can be taken easily and has a handle which sits in a recess so that a reverse insertion is impossible. Very nice, I think that the filter size. 4 really absolutely can be fitted exactly, which is not the case with all machinery. With so many machine are still specially folds needed.
- The machine was difficult to clean: Yes, because Siemens could be really to do better. In our old machine it was possible to take with a handle both the outlet and the filter holder and clean if necessary in the dishwasher. This is not so easy. The outlet is permanently installed, so it must be cleaned manually on the machine. And to remove the filter holder is slightly fiddly until you have the hang of reasonably out. Really great is also the ease of cleaning of the water tank, which can be integrated water tank quite annoying at machines.
- The brewed coffee does not taste: Our old machine has quite good coffee brewed, but this one still gets a little more flavor out. But about taste can be known not argue and coffee taste certainly not :-) The brewing time is about 7-8 minutes with a full tank, which is still acceptable.
- The machine has no limit: Correct, but that has also not maintained. If you want a limit, this machine can buy a slightly more expensive version (TC602032).
Conclusion: This coffee gives a good device for a reasonable price, which is not in the kitchen with its filigree design as the dominant block. Since the range of filter equipment is quite manageable with removable tank, you have to accept just one or the other. Anyway, I do not want to miss the convenience of a removable water tanks and everything else are trifles. A strong buy recommendation from me with a star deduction for the need for cleaning.
Since the machine has only been about 6 weeks with us in action, I can say nothing about the longevity of the device or the storage of individual components.
Addendum:
The machine is now for about 14 months several times a day in operation and is still going fine. The coating of the hot plate is still intact, as is the seal of the water tank and also otherwise the machine shows no appreciable wear. Positive noticed is the low tendency to calcification, our old machine had to be decalcified at much shorter intervals.
