The published 1982 Virgin "White Eagle" of the Berlin electronic rock pioneers Tangerine Dream was for me, as for many, the introduction to the music of this innovative formation (here Franke / Froese / Schmoelling). The album benefited from the fact that "The girl on the stairs," a modified version of the track "White Eagle" was in the Schimanski- Crime Scene Crime hear the many so enthusiastic that they bought the LP. The listening to the scene this version tremendously atmospheric, beautiful song by the way at that time appeared on a "Super Sound Single", along with three other titles ("Katja", "flock", "Speed"). The cool, technical and yet emotionally appealing pieces of the disc, which then casually walked with a friend, spoke to me immediately to extremely what animated me to me WE plus "Tangram" and "Logos Live" on sale; so I was infected; an infection of the pleasant variety .... Many a are the albums of this band phase too catchy, "commercially" (??) and no longer worn enough. I also have a soft spot for older stuff of the band, but can also enjoy the music of this period without any problems. The built up around a Sequencerlauf around hynotische "Convention Of The 24", the interesting, to compositing of several individual parts longtrack "Mojave Plan", the sentimental-beautiful title track and the little plate but pleasing "Midnight In Thula" ... it all create a certain atmosphere in which I even after so many years, always happy eintauche.Ein real classic. The recording quality is quite good. The record sound (and sound with me still) beautiful space. The first CD-series in 1995 replaced by the Remaster series, as well as WE. The remastering was conducted by Simon Heyworth, the dynamic range somewhat curtailed, but Reserve left in the middle section and an overall good job ablieferte.Er put "Super Bit Mapping" (SBM) from Sony a, which he pointed out that the sonic revision no alibi function meet sollte.Mit success.
