The card is worse than the Magellan eXplorist 110, which costs one third.
GPS is reasonably well and water in the vicinity do not mind as much as my phone (Galaxy Note2)
GPSMAP 62ST accuracy 2-5 meters if WAAS (EGNOS) is available otherwise 4-8 meters.
In the forest 8-10 meters. By comparison, my Note2 an accuracy of 4-8 meters but mostly 6-8 meters.
In the forest, my touch is somewhat more accurate than the GPSMAP.
From the battery power (battery power) I am very disappointed. With 4-6 hours battery and rechargeable batteries (2800mAh) + 6h. Granted without power saving mode (display off) but without illumination.
The display is of the Quality ago the art of 10 years ago, readable in daylight, but much worse than a ereader. The lighting is very weak, super read at night, during the day in the shade but relatively poor.
GPS fix is very fast and takes only seconds (except for the first time since it takes me already 30-60 seconds).
It is the route automatically recorded in GPX format and then only needs to be saved. Although When changing the batteries no data verlohren it's all about accidental deletion. Data copying works like a USB flash drive and operating properly.
Calibrating the compass is very annoying the first time have one hour needed (because always failed). If you have to get out as (slowly) it goes, but it only takes a few seconds.
Calibrating the Barometric Altimeter is most accurate when you eingiebt height or pressure, but also works on GPS. I can about the accuracy since then do not say anything but I do not think it is very accurate via GPS, but mine is not very important.
At each battery change, the compass and the barometer should be calibrated. But partly it is also a must as it is pointing somewhere else.
Geocaching, used to GPX files works fine Allerding it loads when searching the cache name a little late and shows dafor only the cache number (GCXXXXX). However, this may be due to my GPX files. Bin gone over the coordinates manually enter (typing with MARK, select with FIND) because that goes very quickly. The rest I just do half the phone because the phone screen is larger and easier to read.
CONCLUSION: the device is not bad, supports NO Glonass, the card is inferior (for my purposes, geocaching), the GPS is fast and relatively accurate, the workmanship is good to very good, the screen is not particularly fast and zerkrazt , Battery performance is weak but no problem if you have a fresh set of batteries (4x single to even change therefore 2x6 hours) has in his luggage. Data transfer via USB is working properly and the wireless function I could not test. The speed is okay, the compass occasionally confused.
Ten years ago I would have classified the instrument as a top, now mediocre for a Full-time GPS. I do not know if the other devices are better but my phone can almost (accuracy) mitt hold.
Oh yes, and the standard USB cable is seeeeeeeehr short (20cm), but is a standard mini USB and you can on the device during Übertrageung anyway do anything.
