Good ideas, some moderately implemented

The Samsung phone there with me about renewals. I have chosen me because it next to a large touch screen also has a sliding keyboard. Another deciding factor was also the 8MP camera - which have in the form not many phones. And since I like to (without a digicam to lug) doing some snapshots, I thought to myself that this could not hurt.

After I have now tested the phone in various everyday situations some strengths and weaknesses are noticed, many strengths are in turn linked in my eyes inseparable weaknesses.

Strengths:

- The phone has a brilliant, large color display, which consists of the most unusual angles still delivers a great picture itself. Problems gets the phone, however, when you are out and the sun is shining. Even with indirect sunlight the picture is at times simply no longer recognizable.

- The camera can actually convince mE. The image quality is very impressive, especially the well-known "noise" in darker color areas is less common in this camera.

- T9 is, after an initial familiarization (Sony Ericsson) convincingly succeeded. It anticipates words even if you have not typed in any characters, and this case has a surprisingly high hit rate. As can then also the small basic vocabulary of T9 vekraften.

- The MP3 player has a (not unusual for Samsung) excellent sound quality; However, since no "normal" Kopfhöhrerklinkenbuchse exists and the headset is connected to the side and thereby requires that loosening the cover, which then is the case, I will continue to do without my MP3 player.

Weaknesses:

First of all: I want a mobile phone mainly - on the body scanners from the Jamba Sparabo I can do without, so I put on the basic functions of a mobile phone very great importance; the bells and whistles is of secondary importance to the evaluation.

- The sound quality during a call can only be described as weak. It is partly on the phone do not distinguish between "two" and "three". Unfortunately, I am no one to Höhrer so loud turning up in such situations that others can hear what the person on the other side just says. Why do you build in a first-class mobile phone MP3 player and does not make it to keep the voice quality at the same level?!? My Sony was better in this respect by a mile.

- Typing SMS with the keyboard is passable, though I simply is the top row of keys too close to the top edge. With your thumb you get partially his problems.

- Overall, the whole phone is just me "choppy" to. Why do not they get it, how to achieve a liquid running operating system. If you every time another 1.5 sec "wait" has until a menu is loaded, I can quite understand why the whole world runs on Apple. Since it works namely liquid!

- Quite bad it is when you scroll to the "Desktop". So a stupid Geruckel has so far come to me yet nowhere. Here is the expected competition from Apple by far.

- Moreover, I wonder why a rare stupid "App" as "go on a diet" can put a widget on the desktop, but not really meaningful things, such as the installed applications (for example, a navigation software) or simply only the caller list. So far I have not figured out how to go.

- An absolute impudence (and otherwise you can not express it) is the automatic images display in standby mode. By pressing a button on a black screen appears an info screen with time, date and information on new SMS, etc. and as a background image of the pre-installed images, always in change. This is seen to be not so bad, because this would not be so meaningful "masterpieces" like the picture "Candlelight". Imagine a Christmas wreath in the summer. Not to mention the stupid comments unintended viewers ... You can not delete this photo by the way, as enshrined in the system. Thanks a lot! One can ebensoweni specify that a particular picture is displayed in standby, at least to me this feature has so far remained hidden.

- Continue with the Info screen, about the presence of calls / receipt of SMS. Here is a kind of movable app on the display. Unfortunately, it is so that in the missed calls feature Ask "Exit" only causes the screen squashed until the next call and possibly me hours or days just this missed call is displayed again later for the next call. - A barely manageable catastrophe is the Photo Browser or the images preview. Have to be careful that the phone will never turn over a certain angle, because then the images part journey begins. Since the images anyway through non-liquid mutates all to the experience that you have when you play on a PC undersized a game that would need three times as much power. It just is not fun.

- Every time I could annoy me that one should never turn off this phone conveniently / or leave blank to run the battery. First times are not disconnectable welcome melody from the big "T" comes in an uncontrollable volume (which is, however, the branding and less on Samsung) and the second after a restart the display order of the contacts is reversed in the phone book. I've sorted my contacts by first and last name. Once you start the new mobile phone, the order is the other way around. - The casing of the phone is indeed in front of metal for durability, however the reverse is painted plastic and with the cheapest paint which was to be found in China. - It is losing idly negative to battery. This is a touchscreen phone that eat nunmal power. More than 4 days are realistically but absolutely not in it. Since everyone needs to know himself, to which he attaches importance.

As mentioned before I put mainly on the value of telephone and SMS function and only secondarily on the extra stuff. Therefore, the cell phone of mine still gets 3 stars.

But I'm honest: I am satisfied completely with the mobile phone no longer. On occasion I will probably make here for replacement.
