good image quality, autofocus bitchy than the kit lens

In my case replaced this "travel zoom" the kit lens and a 75-200 zoom, I have always had both dragged, usually with the kit to the camera (Pentax K20D). Because it was awkward and you may not always like change on every trip dusty lenses, it should be one with a wide bandwidth, while not the same in the 1,000-EUR class - could even get away on holiday sometimes.

What is not so good: this is here - as well as might be expected - no light monsters. At 3.5 to 6.3 sometime brauchts exposure time with a tripod or flash (which the lighting atmosphere fundamentally affected), but it was clear to me. Can with a high-quality fixed focal length and do not want to compete there.
I also find the autofocus with this lens as a slow and imprecise, and the situations in which he surrenders and without recognition of the subject distance (or a fundamental misjudgment) comes back, are more common than they used to with the kit lens. So I have to get used to me, to devote a little more attention to the auto focus indicator in the viewfinder.

Is something tricky that the lens when it "upside down" on the camera hangs over the shoulder, pulls apart. One can indeed prevent the latch, I forget but regular if I want to be back in.

Otherwise, the lens fully met my expectations: I find the picture quality subjectively really good, the zoom range is really enough, the weight is kept within limits. I suppose the other lenses is no longer with you on holiday. I would buy it again.
