First, the real negative:
- Map Updates (MAC):
GarminMapUpdater_v4.1.1 (Kartenupdater) for Mac is the program the Garmin in this regard provides for the Mac. Besides the fact that the complete map update (EU completely) with the program despite broadband Internet 2.5 hours takes. There are some things to consider that I have not heeded due to ignorance and had the whole process 3x perform total until I "Installation was completed "to see.
First of all, must be on the boot partition min. 7.5 GB of free space available (rather more) 'which is just nowhere. And shortly before the end of the card installation (one believes it's already done) again skips the installation progress bar back to 3/4 and stir until the long-awaited "Installation complete" no longer (this state takes about 30min.) 'So not for the impatient, always nice wait.
- GPS FIX:
The GPSfix (the first satellite contact search) may take up to 30 min. Take and really needs to happen in an open area (ie on the windowsill lay not is) so park, field, etc. Had problem to get the GPS fix, the unit was about to return.
.... And so-so:
+/- Language (German):
here and there quite bumpy (eg from is abiegen abihen) and I personally would be enough to turn an indication.
+/- GUIDEANCE:
Overland: well, in town: often nonsensical (Instead of the motorway as navigation through the urban area in the shortest time mode). Have a feeling the Navi like trying by all means to avoid any highway and a highway driving 'and no, I did not tick at highway at prevention.
Enclosed +/- no charging cable for wall socket
+/- Battery lasts about 3 hours.
+/- Software (V 4.7) is able to pass but hanger
+/- Touch screen is a bit "stiff"
...... And last but not least for the better:
+ GPS RECEPTION
Apart from the above-mentioned GPSfix really fast and almost anywhere
+ Fast route calculation
+ Large, good display, good sound
+ User-friendly operation
+ 4GB of internal memory and Micro SD Slot
+ MAC and PC compatible
+ Good lane guidance
+ Many gimmicks
+ Lifetime Map Update (refers to the lifetime of the appliance)
total because of the bad map update support and the peculiar route guidance in the city only 3 stars, but good device.
