The tripod itself can be loosened by a quarter turn and be pulled in up to four elements, a quarter turn back fixes the new position. This works perfectly in my opinion, nothing wobbles, nothing rattles, nothing gets tangled up. Actually, five star, but then:
The tripod ends in the usual GoPro joint-mimicry, and here begins the bad part. Sämtliches enclosed hinge and mounting accessories is simply unusable:
- The screws, which are to secure the joint (the one with the plastic toggle), are too short and do not reach the threaded socket on the joint (!).
- The mobile phone holder fixes the mobile phone by means of a carriage which seems initially processed very clean but: this slide is adjusted by means of a knurled nut, knurled nut and this drags on the cell phone back. I have not managed to fix my iPhone, the attempt would have scratched the back of the phone without any doubt.
- The 1/4 "screw to produce the usual camera screw is not dimensionally stable and therefore can be screwed into any of my cameras at the latest after a thread is stuck..
- The small mounting plate on which a camera is to be installed (if the screw would fit above) is crooked. The camera sits thereby also crooked and shaking lack support surface.
I'll keep the tripod, because it seems to me worth its price even without the accessory. I use just my other joint parts that I have lying around plenty of helmet holder, chest strap and wrist support. This allows this "Selfie Tripod" use perfect. Supplied accessories I have entered into the bin ..
