Not particularly adept historical novels, yet I wanted to read this book, being fascinated by the story of Marie Antoinette. And I was not disappointed: this book is written so as to immerse the reader in the plot, as if there was. It is written in a clear, simple and accessible to all. The only negative would be that the plot focuses little on the Queen and many outside the Conciergerie. However, this does not prevent me from recommending it to all lovers of the French Revolution.
