Great album from a style-defining band

Customer Review

Bin since a CC-Concert 2008 large CC Fan. The first and second album felt it already long in my playlist, but the third bottom it off. The first tracks Plague and Kerosene knock something of an order that alone justify this title already the CD-buying. The crown of their previous work, however, CC sits on insulin. 1:47 and you're weggeflasht. That's no more music, this is art. A Doe Deer II, so to speak. And that goes live but something of the effect that it knocks down one. Even if this only hear high tones Kreischberg. Rarely seen a Liveakt which entrains itself onlookers so.

Back to album: I do not think that CC have changed their style big, but the sound has become even more versatile. I know many electric bands that experiment with sounds to get no, but few manage the balancing act between experiment and perfection own style. Clear that the personality cult has captured the mainstream success of "Cry Alice", but it also fits easily to CC as chalk and cheese.

Granted leaves the album towards the end of intensity and power slightly, but that's not bad, because the quiet side of CC blend harmoniously into the overall picture.
I can only hope that CC go on as "mainstream underground Act" and not completely move towards commercialism or to any guest singers to upload each song, which unfortunately today's mandatory if you want an album to sell well. "Not in love" with Robert Smith I count times not to, which has indeed sure gives them a lot of new (ex-Cure) fans, but that also fit well together.
