Picture and sound are top. The switching times have surprised me very positively. The Fernbedieung works from all directions and also at a greater distance properly. HbbTV runs great and does a lot of fun. Video streaming over DLNA running with my Easybox 802 knotless as a server. After some experimenting with firewall and antivirus settings also runs video streaming on the PC without any problems. For this I use the "PS3 Media Server". Recordings on USB stick also run super. On a reasonably quick stick work even HD pictures without jerking, which is probably likely to be the propietary Recording format of the receiver, who dismantled the shots in many 64MB large individual files. But here is also a criticism of another reviewer who complained vehemently that the recordings of the receiver are not editable on the PC. In XORO forum but two solutions are presented for this problem, which appear to function. The first is the purchase of an editing software that get along with the recording format of the receiver to a still acceptable price. The other would be the mass rename the file extension, followed by joining together of the files into one large file, which then probably with certain tools (eg. As Freemake) can be edited. The forum for even batch files are available for download. I have neither the one nor the other solution tried so far, but I will try myself to the second and am hopeful that it actually works.
This is now the third XORO receiver, we have with us in action. All running great and to our complete satisfaction. If there is to complain about anything at HRS8810, then two little things:
On the one hand the HRS8810 the TS files of two other XORO receivers are indeed back. The playback quality is however rather modest. But that does not bother me, because I am PC can convert it into a format the TS files in the shortest possible time that the HRS8810 reproduces the highest quality. Surely it would still be nice if in a future firmware update compatibility could be improved with other in-house products. I assume that it will not be possible for older devices will support the recording format of HRS8810. Given the ever-increasing demands on the recording quality (keyword HD, Full HD, Ultra HD) I would imagine that the time pure transport streams in favor of other performant recording formats should be over soon.
Secondly, I have to admit that the switch-on of the receiver with 45 seconds although quite long but is still acceptable. This should have no impact on the purchase decision.
All in all a great device that has come of age since a firmware update and a lot of fun. The first bad reviews are likely to be attributed to teething problems that have been fixed with the firmware update.
Strong buy recommendation.
