If the TV screen would have a pure here certainly given 5 stars, but this it would have been cheaper. The picture is really flawless skin and thereby a total without a übezeichneten "Candy effect" - to have - as it can be found with other manufacturers. The 3-way Ambilight is a really nice thing. The low profile and attractive housing design are positively highlighted.
The software on the device, the remote control as well as the integrated receiver are however disastrous.
All menus on the device apart from the fact that they are not very attractive, incredibly slow. Smart TV is so slow that I wanted to use it no more than 2 times (with a 100 Mbit / s Internet line, mind you)
The integrated receiver requires a long time to switch (for about 3 seconds.) - In HD + programs than ever. The additional 30 second initialization of the HD + card, however, seems to be but a problem that extends to all manufacturers. Every now and then the TV / receiver crashes also like starting times. This happens about once a month.
Recordings, one of my main buying criteria, are simply impossible. Need to program the Aufnahem the Phillips server be available to call to the TV program via Web. He is not sure about 60%. It is possible on the SAT EPG to upgrade but can then be programmed any recordings and the menu is in turn horrible to use.
If you managed to have a Aufzeichnug to make this can not happen to 80%. Why is it I do not know - have appointed 5 hard drives tested, whether SD / HD / HD + it is always the same problem - 80% of my shots have red lettering "Can not play."
However, my pet peeve are constant sound interruptions related to an external AV receiver (in my case, but Pioneer also have other sytems with opt input Logitech / Yamaha / Onkyo tested -. Always the same). If the problem is a few forums and blogs already discussed sufficiently - only as much HD + programs with Dolby Digital 2.0 sound set at the optical output from again. The Philips Support promised this situation - but I have in the meantime installed 5 FW updates, after the 4th was the Aussgae of support: The problem should be fixed now - there will be no further updates in this direction. In relevant forums I found out that the problem has done so with hardly any.
Whether the cable box behaves similarly underground I could not test for lack of cable connection.
The remote control is mE compiled after bad - the pressure points are also not good - zap is not a pleasant matter CH + / CH- and Vol + / Vol- are the smallest keys on the FB - who think of something ?. Meanwhile, I use an external receiver again - so I use the TV FB only the on / off switch.
Conclusion:
If the TV is a pure display it would be great - it is not. Who has equipped this TV receiver / software and remote control must feel a great hatred of mankind.
Conclusion:
The really great picture and very good warehouse deal I got for the TV were to keep the TV for me the reason. Also probably the hope that Philips gets the problem with the sound dropouts under control - until then the return time was up. Once again, however, I would buy it not because of the very weak receiver, however.
