Customer Review

In itself, the TV is equipped with this equipment at the price a bargain, at least at first glance. As soon as you unpack it was for me the first little disappointment as the TV is relatively limp. In addition, is already clear in the construction with pedestal that something was saved during processing. Only after several turn the TV stood somewhat in the water. That was then already the first negative impressions. Now, when the viewing direction is to be changed, the feeling arises to be careful to have nothing breaks.
Up & Connectivity lt. Manual no problem, you can not go far wrong.
The really positive is definitely the picture and sound quality, as there is absolutely nothing to complain about. Also, optical delays (grinding band) can not be seen
Something strange I found the problems that the TV was obviously when I joined my existing receiver. Sound and image were then when you switch often a time lag. In order to rebalance had to be turned off and on again. After switching to the internal receiver this problem did not come before.
Service:
- The menus are useful, mostly self-explanatory. Even the programming of the transmitter / channel lists is easy.
- The remote control has a bad feel, especially in the center where the arrow keys are, you often come accidentally on the surrounding keys.
- The software is totally inadequate, a real shame for a company like Philip. Actually, I thought that they were finally tackled the problem in the meantime, but was disappointed. I had before about 4 years a receiver, I had to replace it with another device because he just hung up every few months and all channel lists put out. That's why I was skeptical as I was assured Philips had revised the software and would now be better. However, the image was so overwhelming that I still bought it. The TV shows unfortunately that my fears were unfounded not. Sometimes the wait after pressing the Smart TV button seems to be eternal. But at some point then finally released the app selection. With the home button it is something more insidious, who pushes a second time out of impatience, which looks like the menu opens after one minute and then immediately closes again. Here patience is definitely required. It starts when you turn up at last all connections were closed he must close so (about 1-2 minutes). Previously need not attempt to start an app to control, then the entire process is namely again interrogated by the first time connecting to the Internet was made.
- After I had a Wat .... he SUBSCRIPTION completed dived every other movie or even in many series always noted on the will not play. After contacting Wat .... it was explained to me that it would not be up to you, but to the software of Philip. But which would be aware of the problem and they would work on it. Philipps Support was so cumbersome and also brought not really much except we are working on the problem. (It should be enough if the device type and serial number is specified so that Philips can do something with it, since no still has the app version by giving that is nowhere indicated.)
- Witzig is also devoted to the 3D effect in movies and series easily activated myself and then I have to turn off the menu it. If this is not reversed, or at least one window with the question Switch to 3D mode? Open? Especially since it suddenly in a series from the 90's happened ...
- Another funny point is the permanent shutdown. Every few days, sometimes 2x in 3 hours, the message shutdown comes in 60 seconds. Why? I do not know but then the TV switches off easily.
- On the subject of updates, there is also something strange. On the homepage there is an update available, but when searched through the TV, none verfügbar.komisch right? So then the new update must be taken on a USB stick so then the TV also gets its update.
I could go on further points list but I think there are enough words to describe like this device. This is just the rough that after about a year use is noticed.
Conclusion: Great picture, great sound quality, terrible software, bad package. A bargain for people who want to ensure that only television and have patience.
