Image Quality:
I have the resolution is reduced to 8 MP, since the resolution completely sufficient and thus the noise can be reduced somewhat.
There is some noise in dark passages, but when watching on the screen does not bother. For high quality prints, I use rather my SLR (Nikon D3100)
All in all, good image quality for a compact camera.
The lower the resolution is set, the lower the noise.
Video quality:
The video function is easy to start up right on the red button. The resolution is not a FullHD 1080p, but 720p. You can hear a slight noise, but for a small digital camera the images are convincing.
Handling:
The Canon has a lot of different settings, which the images can be changed via internal software. Nice gimmick, but the snapping extends the automatic mode.
In a snapshot camera hands me the auto setting. For high-quality recordings, bsp. in museums or as you need an SLR.
Display:
With 3 inches is a good size and is visible even in the sun. The resolution is OK for the price range
Menu:
The menu is typical Canon clearly structured and you can find everything for short settling quickly.
Compared to Canon A3300
The zoom has been increased to 8 times.
The wheel is missing, otherwise minor improvements.
Compared to Nikon S6300:
The Canon is significantly faster in use - there are hardly any load times.
Comparison Conclusion:
A matter of taste - all provide good results in all areas.
Conclusion of the Canon A4000:
A compact camera with good image quality on the go in your pocket.
High quality workmanship and ease of use.
