But Insurgentes remains not so harmonious or catchy. So succeeded the album is, as difficult as it is in parts. Insurgentes is a Wilson-work exhibition, you should hear several times. In addition to a catchy rock a la Porcupine Tree and quiet, piano-backed and partly spherical numbers (Veneno Para Las Hadas) in the style of No-Man to find sluggish Progabschnitte which open only in Vangelis Illustrative strings with Spieluhrmelodien and then krachig experiment ends (Salvaging). Unusual, but made unquestionably good.
Quite different it sounds again in Twilight Coda, a very quiet, but exciting instrumental, which relies on acoustic guitar in front of a spherical and deposited with effects background. Toward the end, a piano underneath, which then in the next track, Get All You Deserve, the quiet prelude denies mixed. Later, short electric guitar riffs mix including before then apocalyptic ends and in the closing track Insurgentes mündet- a piano again highlighted track with melancholy acoustic guitar and vocal harmonies class.
In between there is to hear and correct noise (Abandoner and significant other) sometimes prog-jazz guitar with headbanging elements and acoustic rest in the middle (No Twilight Within The Courts Of The Sun), acoustic guitar on minimalistic electro background (Abandoner). All this is coherent with each listen, more concise and easier. Well done.
In short: Insurgentes is complex. The album can hear everything Wilson to date can, pointing to what could possibly come.
