Harry James at his best !!!

Here, we have added new CD on one CD and two tracks 1-12, some of the old title success, are in excellent quality.

Soloists are next to Harry James (trumpet, is clear) still Willie Smith (As) and Corcy Corcoran (Ts), both long-time members in the James-Band.Hinzu comes the singer Helen Forrest, who had sung in the 40-ies with James ,

Tracks 13-22 on CD Two are from the LP "Wild About Harry", a pure big band jazz album of Spitzenklasse.Völlig without strings, but with vehement Swing and Power.

Here, too, in addition to the three already mentioned soloists, the trombonist Ray Sims and Herbie Harper, the clarinetist Herb Lorden (As + also Arr,), Allan Reuss (Git.), Francis Polifroni (Ts), Larry Kinnamon (P, Arr.) and the world-class drummer Buddy Rich to Wort.Exzellent also lead trumpeter Don Palladino, who played with Stan Kenton and Les Brown.

The double CD shows all sides of the James-Band.Die more "schmaltzy" with the strings on the one hand, the "jazzy" James then with the other tracks of the CD Two.
