Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

What could you expect from a songwriter who once said of himself: "You can not write forever and for all time hymns." or "If you're rich and over 40 should stop making music, because it will inevitably boring for the listener."

So they expected no hymns, but at least boring solid Meldodien.

So a kind of "McCartney" album anno 1970th

And what does Noel? He surprised the Oasis posterity with the best hymns since "Talk Ronight", "Do not Look Back in Anger" and "The Importance of Being Idle".

Boring is not more than the bar code on the CD, the rest is just brilliant and better than any McCartney solo albums.

To unstoppable long in the songs, because you need to hear yourself easily, you have to say that it, if not a solo album 2011/2012 the entire decade.

Catchy melodies, surprising Tempi- and rhythm changes, Noel's never boring acting voice that redefined after each piece and reinventing.

Slightly less choirs ala Standing on the Shoulders of Giants (one can only assume that this choir-containing pieces from these years come) would have done well, but no song should be missing on the album.

The enclosed DVD is quite nice, but not really entertaining and offers a secluded lonely acting Noel, who gives the impression of being bored by his own genius, and who seems to miss the great-Oasis from 1994.

Thumbs up! What a pity that Noel has not already years earlier produced a solo album. Because let's be honest, Oasis has not missed right already since 2000.
