High hidden costs, good sound & lousy processing

Not like me has the extremely high standby consumption, I have unfortunately found quite late. More than 40 watts when turned off. The problem is well known and widespread, Remedy was not created in newer systems, but brazenly simply removed the stand, because the device does not meet the legal requirements so.

These are in again around 100 EUR Surcharges - minus the time in which the device is used and a high power consumption may possibly be accepted. Where other manufacturers push their device under one watt, Logitech sweeps the problem under the carpet rather because they obviously do not get it under control:

A device was exchanged me for the electricity consumption ("Please do not use the system further in no way" stand mutatis mutandis in the reply e-mail). Unfortunately, the replacement unit had the same problem. Instead it really solve, just my test methods the case were disputed, closed and tossed to the winds. That it has been very warm in the off state, is clear evidence that it has an extremely high standby consumption, interested there but nobody.

As a "solution" I have the device then always have to disconnect from the power - otherwise the device would have to> 500 EUR costs - equipment Price + waste of electricity added.

After a little over two years then has also been with me - like many, many others, adopted the unit completely - it turns easily again from. Would not surprise me if that is a consequence of errors from the bad design.

Logitech now denies of course any help except: ". Please do not re-use this device" I will now extend out "Please do not waste more money on Logitech". Disappointing, what has become of a former quality manufacturers.

Support is otherwise reasonably friendly and quite fast, but very superficial. Measures which I had already made himself and described to me there initially presented as a solution. Then the exchange was announced and denied in the last email selbiger again.

Edit: At the end of me a 35% coupon for the Logitech Store was then offered. He was, unfortunately, completely worthless, because the store is so overpriced that even with 35% discount all interesting still significantly more expensive than the open market. In a well-known auction site, the voucher was then worth more than anyone just 1.50 EUR. How nice that you will consistently durchverarscht until the end at least.
