Have unfortunately in our townhouse (rented) a staircase access is covered with a kind of porcelain stoneware. That is when it rains let snow and ice is very smooth. As a remedy, I looked around for a suitable mat. Based on the positive reviews I opted for this. The staircase access is exposed to wind and weather, ie rain and snow, the mats are on and beneath damp. The tape have kept exactly to the first downpour. Thereafter, it was smoother than before, since the water under the mat acted as a lubricant. Both the DHL man and I myself have made our case experience. Before attaching the mat I had the stair even cleaned Extra grease. Should one have a tip how to secure the mats and alternative weatherproof please report.
Funnily enough, they are currently frozen due to the low temperatures;););)
