And so it goes on and on. Here Theos feelings and thoughts as orphan child are profound, sensitive and poignant, his drug career, his dubious life - everything comprehensible. Unfortunately, less would have been more - so sensitive the images are selected, with whom the author Theo can describe his suffering, so there are often too many. The inflation continues to rise, as Boris enters into Theo's life. Here Boris is a wonderful character - a totally unconventional Kid, which is ready for any crime, as long as it promises Fun. But the scenes with Boris are agonizingly long, each Gedankenfurz is beblubbert by best Russian-philosophical manner.
Whenever Boris showed up, I wish I did not have the audiobook listen full length, but could cross read the pages.
Well-liked, however, has me Theos father. Here the figure is not flogged, but here shimmers the dubious character of the Father without comment; I was exceptionally not chewed, as I have seen the Father, but here I was able to form my own opinion. Even with Theos fiance I liked very much that her figure anzeichnete secrecy, without having been illuminated immediately Use. So I thought: What could that be a novel, if not all, had been totgequasselt!
Like the picture, so the book: If the image "The Goldfinch" described in the book as an incredible masterpiece, so that seems not to be seen in art history quite so; Picture book and have since but received a lucrative symbiosis, so that they have drawn attention to the image in Mauritshus prominent place and explain the literary world at the same time for Donna Tartts Roman masterpiece. Clever marketing is everything !!
Conclusion: a far cry from a masterpiece. Because Theos gorgeous iridescent father grace half still 2 stars.
