Howlin 'Wolf - Memphis Days Vol. 1

This section refers to Vol. 1 and Vol.. 2
On both albums widest possible documentation of the recordings in Memphis is sought.
This is therefore not a compilation in which only the best titles will be published but it will be weaker shots into consideration.
In the booklet, the data of the recordings are exemplary held (date which musicians, as many takes of a title etc).
The sound quality is good but varies ie a slight noise some title must tolerate the recordings have indeed an appropriate age.

In order to make a meaningful assessment I see Vol. 1 with the album "His Best" where I see "His Best" 5 Stars.
The sound quality and the songs are better at "His Best", but Vol. 1 is a powerful disk so that I scarce 5 star forgive. This CD is a very good supplement to "His Best".
