The AES Key (32 digit access code) is large and clear it behind. The serial number (10 digits) is the number in the bar code field which is also behind. Long Search was not necessary, the device is Win7 compatible. The state lights are mentioned in the manual briefly: 9 Status Messages The lights of the adapter configuration can indicate the following states: LINK: indicates a LAN traffic STATUS: indicates HomeMatic radio communications POWER blinking: Device is connected to the network and has been assigned an ID of this, made no connection program POWER Steady light: program link is active
The device runs with us since Day 1 easily on the LAN. We run it with FHEM as CUL and the configuration was to make known only in the IP address:
Since then the unit set on a hillside all messages of our devices. Since we were able to dispense with the Central on the operation environment ago, was easier for us to configure this device as the USB adapter, with which we did not get along well.
My conclusion - strong buy recommendation, but technical showing interest (home automation) is required.
