Hymn-like melancholy masterpiece of pop music

Alvvays (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Inspired by the 3 star review of my pros reviewers I feel for the first time almost obliged to defend this magnificent debut album Alvvays in the form of a "customer review" for all lovers of great melancholy pop music not yet come up with the idea, their plan, this plate to order, to draw on the basis of reviews in doubt, certifying the album something like boredom or even background music character.

The debut album of the band originating from Canada Alvvays impresses in his nearly 33 minutes running time by absolutely habene, hymn-melancholic pop melodies, as I have long no longer in such a genius belongs have. In this plate is simply right everything from start to finish.

Although the arrangements work very catchy and have the beautiful melodies include both the verses and choruses of the heart immediately, the songs be used not from after zigmaligem Listen, if you're like me has a weakness for melancholy pop music of this kind.

The song is really from the first to the last song hauntingly beautiful and fits harmoniously into the overall sound surfpop-like, but what comes along rather dreamy than happily. Sympathetic manner also manages singer Molly Rankin unlike so many tried to coolness or Weirdness indie rock singers, their lyrics to sing on a inimitably simple and effortless manner whereby this sound serious particularly authentic and in a positive sense, without affectation or "willed" to act.

Since the album sounds so wonderful homogeneous and at the same time varied, I really want to highlight any of the songs as "Highlights". Who, however, still wants to make a quick impression of the plate, which I recommend, first in the song "Next of Kin", "Archie, Marry Me", "Atop A Cake" and especially "Party Police" a listen.
