Let's be clear, it is not an instrument virtuoso nor for the stage. It is against the perfect keyboard for creating computer-assisted music and I bought it for that and only that. There are several models on the market that differ in the number of octaves and especially the price. Many have only two octaves (24 keys) which I find a bit tight. The Keystation Mini 32 has a half-octave higher than the previous giving sufficient ease, a good compromise between size, portability and ease of use. The Keystation Mini 32 was immediately recognized by the Linux system and music software assisted associated computer. So it is a worthwhile purchase that will accommodate the traveling musician but we do ask you to do what it was not designed.
