I photograph otherwise only with fixed focal lengths and was not quite sure whether or not a tele with aperture 4 is to keep on 200mm yet to get sharp images. Have the EF 70-200mm 1: 4 L for two days and I have to say, I no longer give her. The autofocus is so fast, that's amazing! The sharpness absolutely convincing and at the long end. Brightness of consistently 4 is perfectly adequate. It goes without saying that you also reasonably good weather needed, otherwise just helps only a tripod (only for static objects), or you screwed up the ISO. I shot my first 300 images in clear and partly cloudy sky with little ISO 100 and I must say that the images are almost all become super sharp. I use a Cropkamera in AV mode (only disguise the aperture and ISO speed). So who scans much photographed outside and especially moving objects, can strike without hesitation here, because the lens is not only the fast AF, but also a very natural color reproduction and super sharpness.
From me strong buy recommendation, since the fat charge for IS (Image Stabilizer) can save !!!
PS .: At one Cropkamera has an effective focal length of 112mm to 320mm
