Improvement to Euro Truck Simulator 1

Fortunately, I had not at amazon, special ordered from another dealer, so I could buy there much cheaper with a voucher as Amazon, and then I got the game even a day before release delivered (since probably the post the shipment a day delivered early ;-)

The installation went without problems and the first game start one must first an offline (!) Create Profile. Then, the profile selection and a news bar comes to the right in-game, which automatically adjusts the version and an update proposing (for me it was 1.1.1). In addition, the change-list (the changes / improvements through the update) appears.

For the game itself:
Customize has been probably the key word for the ETS 2. You can really complete his truck unless you have developed the wherewithal to adapt. More realism is not in this respect. From the sun visor on the built-in navigation, to the tires, anything is possible. Partial parts are locked and be unlocked only after level up.

There are two variants: one takes a job as a driver at (truck is provided on site) or you have purchased his truck and looking out orders on the freight market, in the latter case you have to pick up the trailer first.

Later, you can even build its own freight forwarding, ie one has meherere LKWŽs and alternate driver with employment agencies and Planned then. (Not just simulation but also disposition strategy game!)

Of the LKWŽs ago I find it unfortunate that some manufacturers have given any licenses for the ETS2 who where made it, now extremely real-true vehicles of other LKWŽs have "unlicensed" producers were, however, very well recreated.

Default route one has some side roads and highways also first unlock by increasing the own levels or run jobs. At the end of an order you get money and EP (= experience points), where you get in case of damage, etc. deduction)

When the vehicle into it, you get 45 EP on top, and this can be skipped (there is accordingly no EP)

From Map View or card size, I can not say anything precise as these, as already mentioned, increased dynamically during the game. But it's Rießengroß.

User needs were taken into account such as:

* Tolls
* Construction sites
* Clear improvement of AI (it is partially granted the right of way or overhauled AI right on motorways or left on the highways)
* Marked improvement in gameplay (it was all intigriert from previous truck simulators in any way)

For the true professionals among you there are 4 Modien:
* Easy automatic (for keyboard players recommended)
* True Automatic (recommended for steering wheel player)
* Sequentell (= manual transmission)
* H-circuit (= especially for Logitech G25 / G27 owners, or for all other steering wheels with H-circuit)

In the H-bridge circuit you can then choose between 3 different types of gear!

Time a little summary shortly before the end of my review:

+ Significant improvement in gameplay
+ Significant improvement in AI
+ Costumize to LKWŽs
Given + lasting gameplay in any case
+ Given disposition or development of its own forwarding
+ Integration of live radio streams possible and some have already installed (eg Ö3 and nordeutscher antenna stations, some DK and CZ stations and other WLAN connection to but needed;!)

o AI cars are ugly (although here again just missing the licenses)
o questionable road

o further improvement of dignity damage model (partially I'll go with 80 against the guardrail and bekomm 1% damage!?!)
o AI drives me in, I get the damage and no money, conversely I have to pay money -.-
. o dt truck toll is missing - toll flight over rural roads would have been funny =)
o remuneration is beyond good and evil (the logistics industry is highly competitive and you get in real life no 5000 Euros for a 250km ride + trucks + diesel, it should be mentioned only here once. For the gameplay but it must be so therefore neutral)
o no multiplayer
o "unsightly" textures in the tunnels, which form an optical "bucking"

- Graphics yet more bad than good, despite improvement (even on Ultra even "ugly")
- I refer to the steering wheel support at this point as "sad". If you already specially supported the G25 / G27, you should test it also, steering problems as its predecessors are still present. Thus, there is also the manual transmission by itself, since it has to do with the steering. The in-game steering operation increases proportionally to the steering operation at the G27, which makes something schwirig all
- LKWŽs rolling several kilometers, from fully loaded! Something like that goes against any physics laws
- Problems with the automatic, partially to get mountains extremely hard up (because the automatic transmission will start in the wrong gear)
- The "lights" were very umgestezt ugly, at night you are the round, solid color circles, all-steel light glows through;) (on the highest graphics settings!)
- False signs (according Autobahnschild goes the highway 2 or 3 lanes at the connection point on, however, in real verängt the road on 1 or 2 lanes because kanns then crash before you should change the essential, which.. I now know by heart these dangers job -.-
- AI drives me partly at intersections behind it (ok, was now only 1x but that's stupid, I stand at the intersection behind the other and the thundering me back in and the cargo is damaged ...)
- Physics "getting used to" (where you get the out quickly;)

Conclusion:
I can not and do not want to say what or who is the better truck / truck simulator now. The fact is that the ETS 2, a solid, functioning and of the KIŽs forth intelligent simulator, preparing the game and this also guarantees for an extended period.
These improvements in gameplay and KIŽs or Costumize function of LKWŽs. Also live streams are not a problem with me and let the game run smoothly yet. Disposition and growth of its forwarding is no longer a problem in ETS 2. It was just regaiert to customer requirements, which can not be said of other manufacturers in Geners what definitely should be a Bonsupunkt.

Partially could and should have one or the other problem to be resolved by Patch.

Why 3 stars? It takes nothing, and really nothing if here any 5 star emits and "Best Simulator" etc. writes. The manufacturer has to rely on us, he takes customer criticism and wishes seriously, and we should be aware of that and just provide something / or be honest. And it's just one or the other is not perfect, such as the graphics (which de tractors were very well done graphically) or the control on G27 (wheel) (as if you had to put together with Logitech to). The driving physics is mildly unrealistic.

3 stars does not mean that the ETS 2 would be bad, but that improvement is still required, which at this point no one can deny and want. (Or you have to in the comments to my review that opportunity)

The ETS2 is recommended in any case, but I advise the purchase of a Logitech G25 / G27 steering wheel just for the game from because the steering with this is extremely demanding. (A euphemism must in the review;) I have to do with the automatic steering and speed (due to the physics and control deficiencies). You have to be a hardcore trucker to drive the ETS 2 manually with the 12-course H circuit.

It is in any case in real life compared to LKWŽs sensitive and appreciates this profession. Also do you enable parallel parking practice ever, if one has the right to acquire a BE or Xe driver's license, as the reversing with a trailer without is not!

There are now 1.9 patch and it has done a lot. For example, now the AI ​​reacts quite intelligent, but you could still optimizing. Where it has become much more playable at this point.
Before patch 1.9 all the trucks were at the same speed, which even the producers in a video on his "before - after" represents.
Is that where only now noticed? I welcome this change of course, very, and the game is much more fun daruch now.

The review I will not correct because we must support the by no means that manufacturers release it bad or unfinished games and then get even 5 star here by some users. The ruins everything! And I was right, proving the change logs of patches :)
