Filter purchased for mounting on a 2.8 17-50 tamron D7000 has a base, my reflex is to repair I could not test it on a D80, very légé vignetting top 17mm, but I think it East of my goal. High quality product, to make long breaks during the day, with a strong sun typing, (allowing 25 second breaks has 100isos f10) glass quality is very good, (or not anyway, I can distinguish not loss of quality) I recommend. Its only flaw is the white balance which is not very accurate, it is easily corrected if you shoot in raw, or if you use the live view to have it perfectly.
